World Cadet Championship in Fiji next week

Fiji has invited countries in the region to compete in the 2017 ITTF World Cadet Challenge next week.

Fiji Table Tennis Federation President, Anthony Ho says, this will give a chance to players especially for those countries in the region that have never had any opportunity to compete at this level.

“We’ve invited players form the Cook Islands and Tuvalu in this instances as well and we’re making a difference in this world cadet challenge and for the first time ever we making sure our empires and game officials will be wearing Bula- shirt.”

Ho adds the tournament, which is for the Under-15 grade, is shaping up to be one of the biggest international sports events to be held here with 42 countries competing with the best players from across six continents.

The tournament will be held from the 21st to the 29th of this month at Suva’s Vodafone Arena.
