Works on new off-road track expected to begin later this year

The Fiji Car Club is expected to begin works on a new off-road track in Pacific Harbour by end of this year.

Fiji Car Club President Raizal Haniff says the paper works are into its final stages and they are waiting for the approval from the Navua Local Authorities to start work.

Haniff says the off-road tracks will be made just beside the current tracks and will be of 2 Kilometers of gravel and mud.

The initiative was taken after demands from current racers and also to increase the number in the Club with different categories of racing.

Meanwhile a quarter mile drag race will be held at the Nanuku Airstrip in pacific Harbour this Sunday starting at 10am.
