The debut of the Women’s competition in the Skipper Cup has been hailed as a success by the Fiji Rugby Union.

A total of eight women’s team participated in this year’s competition.

The Fiji Rugby Union had formed Flying Fijiana 15’s team from the competition which went on to be undefeated in its Australian tour.

FRU Chief Executive John O’Connor says the women’s Competition has exceed their expectation.

“We selected a Fiji a Flying Fijiana 15’s team that went to Australia played two provincial competition came back unbeaten and that shows we on the right path.”

The first semi-final of the Skipper Cup Women’s competition will see Suva take on Nadi while Malolo will face off with Namosi
