Women flex for upcoming contest

June 6, 2012 2:02 pm

A new outlook to this year’s bodybuilding championship is the inclusion of women to the sport.

Fiji Bodybuilding Association vice president, Patrick Fenn, says the revival of the sport for women has been a long time coming.

“It’s been quite a while since the women have competed. Actually we’ve got quite about 8 women competing. See, we’ve got the Oceania on this year at Auckland in November, so its women will be taking part too. Women have taken part all the time but in Fiji it has died down, so we’re trying to like bring it up again.”
