The Fiji men’s basketball team is raring to take the court at the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.

Team captain Marques Whippy says the team is capable of finishing on top at the regional meet.

“For the past few days, our practice has been intense, we have been preparing well. I think we have what it takes to win gold but yeah, we really excited. We just can’t wait to play.”

The Pacific Games opening ceremony will be held on Saturday.
