February 18, 2016 6:03 pm

Organisers of the West Sevens Series have decided to split the men’s category into two separate competitions next weekend.

The first 24 teams that have already registered for the two-day competition will play for a $5000 prize money while the remaining 16 teams will play in a separate competition for a $3000 prize money.

Tournament coordinator, Biu Tadranu says there was an overwhelming response from local clubs looking to compete and instead of turning some teams away, organizers decided to split the men’s category in two competitions which will run simultaneously.
