Cikamatana sets new World Junior record

Fiji born Australian weightlifting sensation Eileen Cikamatana continues her record breaking form.

Cikamatana set a new World Junior Record at the International Weightlifting Federation Grand Prix in Lima Peru.

The former Saint John’s College student from Tavia in Ovalau secured 110kg on her first snatch, and 115kg on her third to win.

Eileen then went 143kg, 148kg, and 151kg in the clean and jerk to set a new World Junior Record and silver in the clean and jerk, and gold in the total.

The Australian Weightlifting Federation posted the news of her achievement on their website saying they are proud of her.

Cikamatana won two gold and a silver at the 2019 IWF Grand Prix in Lima.
