Powerlifter Vinesh Chand hopes to stamp his mark in the region come July’s Pacific Games.

Chand has been undergoing intensive training for the past three years and hopes it pays off with a gold medal.

Chand who will compete in the 66kg category says he aims to lift more weights and beat his personal best.

“I scored 160Kg, and in the gym, I did 105Kg bench-press and dead-lift I did 190Kg. Now I’m working hard to get more in the final games”

The Pacific Games will be held in Apia, Samoa from the 7th to the 20th of July.
