The Fiji Rugby Union has confirmed the appointment of Geoff Webster as the General Manager Rugby for a term of three years.

Webster comes to this position after 22 years of coaching experience in Ireland and Portugal.

Prior to taking up his new role he was employed with Athlete’s Foot as Group Chief Operations Manager

FRU Chief Executive John O’Connor says Webster has a larger role from that of the previous General Manager High Performance role.

He says Webster’s role will now include addressing strategic and operational rugby matters including all local domestic competition, primary and secondary school competition, junior development programs.

Webster commenced his new role at the FRU on the 8th of December 2016.
