We will not undersetimate France and Kenya: Baber

The Fiji Airways men’s 7s team will not underestimate France and Kenya in its first two pool games in Cape Town tonight.

The Fijians met both the teams in Dubai last weekend where Fiji beat France 41-0 and later defeated Kenya 43-12 in its last pool match.

Coach, Gareth Baber says the players need to remain consistent.

We playing two teams in last week’s and we playing them again this week and we played them really well where we scored some good tries but it doesn’t mean that we will relax. We need to get things right and play as a team.”

Meanwhile, Fiji 7s scrum-half Amenoni Nasilasila has been named as the 13th player.

This after coach Gareth Baber named his final 13 member squad last night.

The squad see’s Baber retain all core players from Dubai in the likes of Kalione Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Jerry Tuwai and Alosio Naduva.

Fiji plays France in its first match at 9.59 tonight, then faces Kenya at 1.20 tomorrow morning before playing England in its final pool match 5.03am.

The Cup quarter-final begins at 11.04pm tomorrow, semi-final will be held at 3.56am on Monday and the final is scheduled for 6.44am.
