“Gone are the days of undermining minor teams in the World Rugby Sevens Series.”
Speaking to FBC Sports from Dubai, Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber says all teams have improved in the series and they will not take any team for granted.
Baber says they’re aware of their opponents in the pool as they’ve created upsets in the past tournaments.
“Both Scotland and France have notable game breakers in their teams and like to play with the pace in the game and they have some dangerous individual ball runners and we take nothing for granted.”
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways men’s 7s team is pooled with Kenya, Scotland and France.
They open their campaign against France on Friday at 7.06pm, followed by Scotland at 10.06pm and Kenya at 4.06am on Saturday.
