Newly appointed Ministry of Sports Permanent Secretary Maritino Nemani says he will build on the success that is being done by his predecessor in the current development of sports in the country.
Maritino says it is too early to comment on the development of sports in the country and he is trying to familiarize with the current system of the Ministry.
He adds he will work collectively with other sporting federations ensuring everything is to up-to date.
“My job is to work with the federations, Sporting Commission and Sporting Council to ensure that sports in Fiji is not only growing and not only beneficial to the players but also sustainable but also in terms of employment as well.”
He adds coming from a sporting background makes his work much easier.
