We need to be competitive: Baber

The Fiji 7’s extended squad undergo hard-yard training at the Uprising Beach Resort playground this morning as they preparing for the upcoming 7’s tournaments that will be held in the country and also the 2017/18 HSBC 7’s series.

Coach Gareth Baber says he is trying to get a right team combination so they can be as competitive as they can be.

“I want to prepare the team to the best as possible as I can and keep them competitive until the last minute and so we squeezing everything we can for each player and I don’t want them to get complacent in what they doing.”

Some experienced players who were present this morning at ground are Jasa Veremalua, Eminoni Nasilasila, Mesulame Kunavula, Jerry Tuwai, Paula Dranisinukula, Kalione Nasoko, Josua Kurunabici, Waisea Nacuqu and Apisai Domolailai.

Baber is expected to name his final squad for the Central Coast 7s in the next two weeks.
