Waratahs edges Stormers

The Waratahs and the Stormers super rugby clash was more of a track and trailer as both teams capitalized in every aspects of play despite the last minute score for the Australians that gave them a 34-27 victory.

Both teams scored two converted tries each in the first spell and a successful three point’s penalty that locked the scoreboard to a 17- all draw in the first half.
The Waratahs scored first, three minutes of the second spell but the South Africans capitalized in the 51st minute of play.

The two rivals were locked 27-all until the last minute of the game before the Waratahs blind side flanker Ned Hanigan crossed the white wash to give them a bonus and their first win in their super rugby season.

Waratahs captain Michael Hooper says it was a good game as both teams were outstanding fighting to the end.

“I think it was a good game as both teams kept on trailing each other, especially when we were a man down, we kept the pressure on them.”

Meanwhile in other super rugby clash, the ACT Brumbies edged Sunwolves 32-25, Lions thrashed the Jaguares 47-27 and the Bulls beat the Hurricanes 21-19.
