Veteran Fijian forward Radike Samo has been recalled into the 30-man Australian squad for the inaugural four-nation Rugby Championship by Wallabies coach Robbie Deans.
Samo is back from a shoulder injury.
The widely-travelled loose forward made a remarkable Test return in 2011 after a seven-year absence and ended the year with a Tri-Nations title.
Samo missed the June Tests, when Australia was upset by Scotland before clean sweeping Wales 3-0, but finished the Super Rugby season well, before impressing at the recent national training camps.
Australian U20’s Captain Liam Gill, fellow Queensland back rower Jake Schatz and Waratahs lock Kane Douglas also have the chance of winning their first
Test caps after being named in the squad.
Drew Mitchell returns from ankle and hamstring injuries.
