Vuruna replaces Matawalu

April 30, 2012 7:20 pm

Not the best start for the Fiji 7s campaign of the final IRB World Sevens Series leg as the key half back, Nikola Matawalu was dropped from the national team to Glasgow and London 7s yesterday.

Matawalu was intoxicated upon showing up at camp for departure yesterday, which resulted in the officials dropping him from the squad at the last minute.

Consequently to Matawalu’s doings, speedster, Sikeli Vuruna was allowed to grab the opportunity to prove his skills in the last leg of the IRB world 7s series.
