Vuruna out to the test against Scotland

March 23, 2012 5:02 am

Fiji rugby 7s and Hong Kong debutant, Isikeli Vuruna will be put to the test in their first pool game against Scotland in Hong Kong tonight.

Assistant coach Etuate Waqa says Vuruna’s consistent performances in Fiji is what they are banking on when he features out on the wing at Happy Valley.

“Vuruna’s consistent performance is his strongest in Hong Kong. He’s got speed with him, he’s very quick, in defence, one on one he tackles very well and plays well with the team. He is very quite off the field but once he goes in he tries his best and these are his qualities that we’ll be banking on in Hong Kong.”
