Vunivalu's family enjoys win

Melbourne have romped to their third NRL premiership with a 34-6 grand final victory over North Queensland at ANZ Stadium.

The Storm sent departing halfback Cooper Cronk out a title winner with a six tries to one dismantling of the underdog Cowboys.

After taking an 18-0 lead into halftime, the Storm crossed through Dale Finucane, Curtis Scott and Josh Addo-Carr in the second stanza to cap a dominant season with a grand final win.

Billy Slater, who scored one of Melbourne six tries, couldn’t contain his emotions after the game.

Meanwhile, families and friends of Vunivalu gathered at their resident in Bagasau, Toorak in Suva to cheer and celebrate the achievement Vunivalu and his team mates have achieved.

“The victory tonight has been exciting and overwhelming at the same time everyone’s emotional, we are so proud of him and I think the kava and celebration will go on till Suli comes back home.

Vunivalu was earlier awarded the top try scorer of the NRL competition with 23 tries in 26 games.
