Vuicakau dreams of NZ jumper

Another Fijian rugger is chasing his dream to wear the New Zealand sevens jersey and possibly become an All Black.

24-year-old, Mike Vuicakau has been working in New Zealand for 18 months now and has since become the top winger for the Havelock Norths team.

He recently scored four tries in a 71-5 romp over Central in second division rugby in Hawke’s Bay.

With his player-of-the-match performance, Vuicakau became the 17th weekly winner in the Tui-Hawke’s Bay Today Club Player of the Year award.

Last year, he played seven first class fixtures for Wairarapa Bush – four at centre, two on the wing and one at fullback.

In his chase to represent NZ one day, Vuicakau is first aiming to play for Hawkes Bay in the national sevens championship next year.

In Fiji,Vuicakau was involved in Decathlon.
