Pacific Mini Games silver medalist Eugine Vollmer will set the standard of young athletes joining Athletics Fiji.

The Twenty eight year old triple jump sensation says senior athletes need to set an example to the young ones.

“We see a lot of things these young athletes are doing now that we used to do before and that’s where we step in as senior athletes and correct them.”

Vollmer adds, the Mini Games in Vanuatu was a building platform for most young athletes as they prepare for the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast Australia come April.
