Volavola pays tribute to fans

I*ts countdown time now as the nation waits for the big game between the Vodafone Flying Fijians and England in the Rugby World Cup opener tomorrow.*

It has been the most talked about match in England this week, with a barrage of media attention on both the teams.

Flying Fijians fly half, Ben Volavola says he is ready for tomorrows match and has thanked the support of fans thus far.

“I am very excited and privileged to play against England on Friday (Saturday Fiji Time) and I just not want to thank the public but also my family, friends and the people of Fiji for your prayers for your well wishes and just ask that you continue to pray for us and continue to send your best and well wishes for the upcoming tournament.”

England and Fiji have met on five previous occasions recognized by both as tests, with England winning all five.

The opening ceremony takes place at 6am before the match gets underway an hour later.
