February 12, 2016 12:01 am

The 2016 Vodafone Premier League was launched last night at the Fiji Football Association Headquarters in Suva.

League Board Chairman Yogeshwar Singh says the competition, which is now into its 39th year of existence, has come a long way since it first started.

“Since it’s inauguration with our first sponsors Air New Zealand in 1977, the National football League has grown bigger and better over the years. This year as you all know, we have a new sponsor and that is Vodafone Fiji who has taken the additional burden of the sponsorship.”
