Vodafone Cup heats up

The Dee Cees Nadera Panthers rugby league side is geared up for nothing less than a win against the Burenitu Cowboys in the preliminary semi-finals of the Vodafone Cup this weekend.
Panther’s captain, Eric Bali says the players are well aware of the threat the Cowboys pose, yet are confident of making the final four play-offs next weekend.
“The Cowboys are a really tight-knit team because they stay together in the village. They have a very unorthodox style of play, whereas for us in Nadera we have a structured way of playing. We have learnt a lot from the last two games against them and we’ve rectified our weaknesses and try and improve on that.”
The Nadera Panthers will take on Burenitu Cowboys at 1:15pm tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium followed by the clash between the Fair Trade Makoi Bulldogs and Nabua Broncos at 2:30pm.
The winners will progress to the semi-finals next week, where western giants, Sabeto Roosters and Saru Dragons await.
