Vicelich and City raring to go

Auckland City football skipper, Ivan Vicelich, says they are raring to go in the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League, which starts tomorrow.

The reigning champions will be playing Vodafone Suva in its first match at the ANZ Stadium in the capital.

The former All White says the team has been preparing well and recent wins has given them a perfect build-up.

“Happy to be here, we had a great time last year. Excited to start the tournament again and will give 110 percent every game and really excited to start the first game against Suva and get the tournament underway and just great to be here. The team is feeling good and last week we had a very good win in our league in New Zealand and are happy to get the champions league started.”

Meanwhile, the competition gets underway tomorrow in the capital, where Suva takes on Auckland City at 4.30pm, while at 7pm, Amicale from Vanuatu plays Solomon Islands club, Western United.

In Ba, AS Pirae meets Lupe Ole Soaga at 4.30pm and Vodafone Ba clashes with Gaitcha at 7pm.

You can catch the live commentary of the Suva-Auckland City from 4.30pm, while the Ba-Gaitcha with voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart will air from 7pm.

Both games will be on Radio Fiji 2.
