Vodafone Fiji under 20 rep, Iosefo Verevou has continued with his goal-scoring form from the FIFA Under 20 World Cup by scoring the winning goal for Rewa in their 2-1 triumph over Labasa in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League.
Both teams had been locked at 1-all at halftime after Alvin Prasad and Taniela Waqa scored for Rewa and Labasa respectively at Subrail Park.
Verevou showed his class in the dying stages of the match to score the winner and see Rewa as favorites to finish second in the GPL and qualify alongside Nadi for next season’s OFC Champions League.
Tomorrow, Lautoka takes on Tailevu Naitasiri at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park while Ba play its second match of the weekend against Suva at the ANZ Stadium.
