Striker Iosefo Verevou has resumed training with the Vodafone Fiji football Under-23 side in preparation for next month’s tour of Spain.

Verevou was admitted in hospital last week after injuring himself during training but has recovered well.

This comes as a major relief for the team as Verevou is one of the key players in the side.

The former Saraswati College student was the top goal-scorer for Fiji, with two goals at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand earlier this year.

The team breaks camp on Sunday and leaves for Spain on the 13th of next month.

Fiji will play build-up matches against development sides of the Spanish La Liga in preparations for the Olympic Games in August next year.
