Fiji Airways men’s 7s forwards Jasa Veremalua has hinted he will be part of the side to defend the Olympic Games gold medal in Japan in 2020.

Veremalua says after their fourth finish in the World Cup the players were reminded on the goals ahead.

He says he is looking forward to the journey next season with the national team.
“We are looking forward to the series and we have been told that we have something left to achieve which is to defend the Rio gold medal during the Olympic Games in 2020 in Japan.”

The team will regroup in November for the Oceania 7s and will then prepare for the 2018/2019 World Rugby Sevens Series.
The seven series begins from Dubai and will be held from 30th November to the 2nd December.
