The Ventures hockey side is on track to defend its title in the Marist Club Eastgate Memorial tournament.

Led by national reps and brothers, Hector Smith Junior and Adrian, the side cruised through Day One yesterday undefeated with victories over Marist White and Stingers X-treme.

In the women’s grade, Stingers and Ventures look to be the in-form teams after remaining unbeaten yesterday.

The final day of competition begins at 10am today at the National Hockey Centre in Suva.

The winning teams in the men’s and women’s divisions will collect $1000 each while the runner’s up will earn $500.
