Valetini likely to play for Brumbies

Australian born Rob Valetini with links to Fiji will be a player to watch as the 19-year old trials for the ACT Brumbies when they take on Waikato Chiefs in a pre-season match.

Valetini will fill in Wallabies and Brumbies forward’s role Scott Fardy’s at blindside flanker during the trial.

The 19-year-old rookie who plays for Canberra Vikings in the NRC is rated as one of the hardest hitters in the Brumbies extended team.

According to the Canberra Times, Brumbies coach Dan McKellar says he was impressed so much in his first year that the Brumbies offered him a two-year contract extension despite not playing a game.

Valetini will play alongside Western Force recruit Isi Naisarani, Henry Speight and Tevita Kuridrani.
