Fijian-born and French winger Virimi Vakatawa paid a visit last night to 18-year-old Spanish winger Samuel Ezeala at the hospital after they collided in the second half of their Top 14 match yesterday.

The teenager was left unconscious but after initial scans came back positive, he got a visit from Vakatawa in hospital.

The game ended with Racing 92’s big win over Clermont, with Vakatawa scoring two tries in the 58-6 success.

And as a sign of respect for the youngster, Vakatawa presented him with his French jersey with Ezeala set to return to Clermont on Tuesday.
