Vakatawa named in youthful France Six Nations squad

January 17, 2018 4:31 pm

Fijian and Racing 92 winger, Virimi Vakatawa has been named in the French fifteens team at this season’s Six Nations.

The 25-year-old is expected to add more impact on the wing side for France.
Meanwhile, Toulon’s Mathieu Bastareaud has been dropped from the squad shortly after the center was given a three-week suspension for making a homophobic remark.

He was replaced in an initial 32-man squad by Jonathan Danty, just two hours after being selected by Coach Jacques Brunel.

France will take on Ireland in its opening match on the 3rd of next month.
