Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan says there is enough cover in the extended squad to replace injured rover, Donasio Ratubuli.

The Yamacia center suffered a double fracture to his leg in the Macuata 7s in Labasa last weekend, ruling him out of action for at least two to three months.

“We can shift people around. Kitione Taliga can easily play at 10 and rover; we’re lucky that we have multiple-position players and the style we play, our playmakers aren’t too different from our rovers.”

Apart from Taliga, other players who can cover the rover’s spot among other positions include Isake Katonibau, Osea Kolinisau, Sakiusa Gavidi, Emori Waqa and Savenaca Rawaca.

Meanwhile Ryan has reduced the extended squad from 26 to 17 players and is currently in camp in Deuba.

The final 12-member squad to the opening leg of the World Sevens Series will be named on Friday.
