The Vodafone Fiji Under 23 side is aiming for a strong finish when they take on the Wellington Phoenix.

The Under 20 players have joined the camp to prepare and make the cut for the team.

Fiji Football Coach, Carlos Buzzetti says this will be a great build up for the squad prior to the Pacific Games.

“Here together with the seniors- we play in the morning and afternoon. We dont have time to do many other things but of course we will work in specifically in our free kicks and so on. But these much games-the ones they have in Vanuatu plus now the new squad. Unfortunate for us we have eight days to put a squad together.”

Meanwhile, the final selection for the Pacific Games will be made in the next few days.

The first game is on Saturday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva at 5.30pm, before which the Phoenix Premier side plays the national Under-23 team at 2.30pm.

The return matches will be played on Tuesday next week at Govind Park in Ba.
