The National Under 17 Women’s side is aiming for a strong finish at the Oceania Football Championships Qualifiers, next month.
The youngsters have been in training camp for five weeks now.
Woman’s Football Director, Susan Wise says the players have been working on improving their performance on a daily basis and determined to create history at their first ever appearance.
“They have been working hard and training hard as this is the festive season while everybody else is enjoying the Christmas holidays, they’ve been here working hard to represent the country and to do their best.”
Wise says most of the players bring with them lot of experience from competing in the last few tournaments.
Twenty two players have been selected to represent the nation in competing at the OFC U17 Women Championships that will be held in the Cook Islands.
