The Fiji football Under-19 team hopes to make a perfect start in the OFC championship in Tahiti this weekend.

Coach, Bal Sanju Reddy, says winning two of the three buildup matches in Australia has motivated the team to produce good results in the championships.
He says the players have learnt a lot from the tour and are ready for the tournament.

“The major task for us is the OFC play-off where we need to go win those games to qualify for the World Cup. Looking at the build-up the matches we played was good and the players have really learnt a lot.”

The Under-19 side defeated Mauritius 2-1, beat VMSA All Stars 3-2 lost to Melbourne Victory 3 nil last week.
