Two new teams will compete at this weekend’s National Netball Championship’s in Suva.

For the first time Savusavu and Wainikeli of Taveuni will feature at the tournament.

Netball Fiji President Wainikiti Bogidrau says national selectors will be at the tournament scouting for new players.

“Kate and her team of selectors will be scouting at the national championship not only to choose our youth team but also to identify potential Pearls. We have just come out of a really tough campaign and the work has already begun for the next World Cup.”

Meanwhile Digicel and Punjas have contributed over $35,000 in cash and kind for the two day championship.

The tournament starts at 8am this Friday at the National Netball Centre in Suva.
