Two Fijians nominated by World Rugby in Rookie of the Year award

Two Fiji Airways 7s players have been nominated in the Rookie of the Year award by World Rugby.

The Sledgehammer Eroni Sau and Alosio Naduva have been nominated alongside Ben O’Donnell of Australia.

Eroni Sau has made a total of 36 tries and is placed fourth in the Most Tries Scored this season.

Naduva scored 21 tries so far while O’Donnell placed second in the Performance Tracker with 348 points.

The winner will be announced on Sunday.

Meanwhile, The Fiji 7s is pooled with New Zealand, Kenya and Samoa for the Paris tournament.

They will play Samoa in its first pool match at 8.50pm on Saturday and then faces Kenya at 11.46pm.Fiji plays its final pool match against New Zealand at 5.14am on Sunday.

The cup quarterfinal kicks off at 8.13pm, semi-finals will be at 12.03am next Monday and the final is scheduled for 4.54am.
