Jerry Tuwai scored his 100th try at the Cape Town 7s [Source: World Rugby]
Former Fiji 7s captain Jerry Tuwai scored his 100th try last night at the Cape Town 7s.
Tuwai came in as a replacement against France and scored two tries in the second half to create history by also becoming Fiji’s top try scorer at the Cape Town 7s.
Tuwai made his debut for Fiji at the 2014 Gold Coast Sevens.
He was named player of the tournament at the 2014 World Club 7s where he played for the Davetalevu Club.
The 29-year-old was nominated twice in a row in the World 7s Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018.

Tuwai also scored the winning try against England in their last pool match to ensure Fiji tops its pool.

Meanwhile, the Cup quarter-final of the Cape Town tournament begins at 11.04pm today, semi-final will be held at 3.56am tomorrow and the final is scheduled for 6.44am.
