Nippy halfback, Seremaia Tuwai beat all odds to make it to the travelling 14 member Vodafone Fiji 7’s squad to the next two legs of the World Sevens Series.

Coach Ben Ryan says Tuwai could have been left out but he uplifted his training levels in the final days to force himself into the squad.

“He has actually had a very strong week. He was perhaps one of the other ones who I thought we would be resting but he came through very strongly in the last few days of training. He is certainly looking at coming back to the form that we expect.”

The Fiji team leave the country tonight for the Las Vegas event in USA this weekend.

Fiji is pooled with Argentina, France and Samoa at the tournament.
