Tuqiri to be unveiled on Rugby Walk of Fame

Former Australian dual international, LoteTuqiri will soon be added to the Rugbytown Walk of Fame in Sigatoka early next year.

The Walk of Fame is a tribute to rugby’s greatest players such as Waisale Serevi, David Campese, Jonah Lomu, Ben Gollings, Viliame Satala and Karl Te Nana.

Tuqiri will unveil his plaque in January next year during the Bayleys Coral Coast 7s.

The Namatakula, Nadroga native represented Fiji and Australia in rugby league, before switching to rugby union, where he played 67 Tests for the Wallabies; most notably in the 2003 World Cup final against England, where he scored a try.

Tuqiri’s wife and three children will accompany him as guests of the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens organizing committee.

16 men’s and sixteen women’s teams will participate in the 6th Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens on 14th-16th January next year.
