Tulo finishes 8th in World Weightlifting Championships

Manueli Tulo finished in a career best 8th position at the IWF World Weightlifting Championships, in Anaheim, USA today.

This is the best ever finish by any weightlifter at any World Championships.

He lifted 103Kg in the snatch and 135Kg in the Clean & Jerk with a total of 238Kg.

This was below the 245Kg that he lifted two weeks in Suva a fortnight ago.

Tulo missed 107Kg twice in the snatch and 138Kg in the Clean & Jerk at the Championships.

Tulo is now on his way back to Fiji in time to catch the team charter plane to Vanuatu where he will be competing for the Gold in the same 56Kg.
