Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou has commended the effort being put in by different sporting bodies of Nadi to form a new council.

Speaking at the inaugural annual general meeting of the Nadi Sports Council, Tuitubou says this will encourage the youths and also develop the level of various sports.

“The council intends to work closely with the government of Fiji and also the Fiji National Sports Commission and Nadi Town Council. This is a way to extend sports and re-creation throughout the community.”

Meanwhile, the council will start working closely with the schools to develop the minor sports in the community of Nadi.
