Rising AFL Fiji star Jone Tuikorocau has secured a three-month stint with the Gold Coast Suns under-16 Talent Academy in Australia.

The year-12 student of Lelean Memorial School is the first Fijian to be part of a professional AFL club academy.

“One of my school teacher at Lelean, Master Alipate Savai boosted me through the sport back at our training during Deans competition in school, he told me if you want to board the airplane and go to Australia you change your sport and play AFL.”

Tuikorocau will leave on Friday for Australia.
