April 23, 2015 12:30 am

Auckland City football mentor coach Ramon Tribulietx says the gap between New Zealand and the rest of Oceania football is closing rapidly.

Tribulietx whose team will be meeting Team Wellington in the final of the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League final on Sunday in Suva, says the level of competition has become tougher.

The ASB Premiership title-winning coach says the influx of foreign talent to Pacific clubs has benefited local players but admits there is a balance to be struck.
