Defending the girl’s title at this year’s Coca Cola Games will be a challenge for Jasper Williams High School.

Head Coach, Antonio Raboiliku says majority of the athletes will be making their debut in the competition.

The Lautoka-based athletes will have the added challenge of making the transition from a ground track to the synthetic tracks at the ANZ Stadium.

Despite this setback, Raboiliku says the athletes have been preparing well for the past eight weeks.

Jasper Williams High School will be banking on the presence of gold medallists Mereseini Naidau and Mereseini Vukici to bolster their campaign.

The school will be fielding a total of 55 athletes at the Coca Cola Games which will be held next Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
