It’s always a tough task defending a title, admits the Fiji sevens team as they get ready for the first leg of the IRB Sevens Series.

Assistant coach Timoci Wainiqolo says discipline was lacking the team last season.

Wainiqolo says yellow cards had cost the team possession and often the game.
He says Fiji plans to move away from areas where Fiji gives away penalties.

“Yeah, we know and we have been giving penalties in rucks and mauls. What we will do is try to move away from these areas. Get the ball in hand and play it until the scoreline.”
