Fiji Athletics president Albert Miller says he wants to field the crème of the crop at the upcoming Oceania championship in Cairns, Australia.

Miller says while the aspiring male and female athletes will want to secure a spot in the 12-member squad, only the top eight will be chosen with the hope of progressing to the World Junior Games in Europe.

“So we have really good numbers of athletes to prove our ability in the Pacific event, to represent Fiji upcoming Oceania games and we’re pretty excited.”
