Tonga beats Flying Fijians 27-19

The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians side defended the Pacific Nations Cup for the fourth consecutive time despite going down to Tonga 27-19 at Lautoka’s Churchill Park this afternoon.

Tonga scored three converted tries and converted two penalties. Fiji scored three tries but only converted two.

Fiji’s score came from Frank Lomani in the first half which levelled their score at 7-all against the Ikale Tahi in the first half.

Vereniki Goneva and Viliame Mata then scored a try each in the second spell but was not good enough to match up the Tongan’s score margin.
