TMO compulsory at Deans semis

The Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union has made Television Match Officials or TMO compulsory as it prepares for the Powerade Super Deans semi-finals at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Union tournament director, Biu Colati, says the use of TMO has been part of the Dean’s competition for the past two years but was not used in the quarter-final last weekend in Suva.

However, Colati says the match officials didn’t use the TMO frequently that is why they have made it compulsory.

He says this is being done to ensure there is transparency.

“We would like them to go without doubt even if they win or lose and that is why we need to show what happened actually happened.”

Meanwhile, in the Under-18 semi-finals Marist Brothers High School faces Cuvu College while Ratu Navula College will take on defending champions Ratu Kadavulevu School in the second semi-final at Suva’s ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
