Former Adi Cakobau School middle distance champion Elenani Tinai is Team Fiji’s top bet for a gold medal today in Athletics.

Tinai is leading the point’s standings after the first day of competition and is satisfied with how she has performed so far.

“This is the first time for me to run for the Heptathlon for the Pacific Games, yeah I was just expecting to run a good time, I think I will just try and do my best especially for the long jump and 800 I am expecting more competition from my team mate.” 

Tinai along with Suva Grammar School student Fane Sauvakacolo and High Jump gold medalist Shawntelle Lockington are taking part in Heptathlon which is a track and field combined events contest made up of seven events.
